Spring Outdoor PDF Print E-mail
NCSC sponsors a spring recreational program for youth 11 to 13 years old. Registration is done on a team basis and begins in January.  League play starts in late March or early April and ends mid-May annually.

Coaches considering taking a team to a Spring League should request sponsorship by the Board in early January of each year.  Teams are allowed on a-first come, first serve basis. Field availability will be the criteria used for how many teams play under the NCSC umbrella in spring outdoor play. NCSC will sponsor no more than four Spring teams.

NCSC teams have participated in the Willamette Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) League and the Portland Youth Soccer Association (PYSA) League. Details follow below.

Fields are designed by size criteria regulated by OYSA and WYSA and other Soccer Associations. The Board will have final say as to what field(s) will be assigned for play depending on the age group of the requesting team. Weather conditions in the spring often require teams to practice on one field and play on another, and game fields may be moved depending on field conditions

There are usually 8 games depending on the specific league

Individual clubs are responsible for providing League and Team fees, fields, and referees for home games in both leagues. Therefore, a per player fee will be charged to cover the expenses which come out of allowing the teams to play. Some of these expenses include: field permits, WYSA or PYSA Team fees, OYSA player fees if the player/coach is not already registered, field striping/painting, referee fees, if any, and other administrative required fees.

Teams will be required to follow individual League regulations, OYSA Regulations and Club rules.

NCSC will support the recreational teams with uniforms and equipment. Classic teams will be responsible for providing their own uniforms and equipment.

Questions about spring play can be presented at any Board meeting.

Recreation   (U-9 thru U-14)
Teams are subject to change at any time.  NCSC reserves the right to make those changes subject to rules and regulations of the USSF, OYSA, WYSA and other regulating bodies.

U14 Girls Hayhurst

What you will see at North Clackamas Soccer Club is smaller team sizes for U-9,U-10 and U-11 teams, resulting in a lesser number of players. This will develope into more U-9,U-10 and U-11 teams, requiring more coaches and additional field usage, which will also require more referees. U-9,U-10 and U-11 coaches will see their team sizes modified and coaches and players will not be guaranteed the same Coaches and the same teammates as they had previously.

Players will NOT be guaranteed the same team they had in the previous season, specifically as additional coaches are added and team size (player numbers) are decreased. Placement on specific teams will be on a first come, first registration-basis.

Teams are based on size and other requirements.  Coaches are recruited under those requirements.  Regulations require filing of team assignments and coaches under specific calendar deadlines (WYSA and OYSA).   There will be times when the requested coach is not going to coach that age group.  There will be times the requested coach does not coach at all. There will be times that teams are filled to their capacity.   All these conditions will determine what team your child is assigned to and subject to the specific age group.   NCSC reserves the right to organize the teams subject to regulation and availability.

(3rd grade through 8th grade).   This program is a continuation of emphasizing good sportsmanship and fun.  Fall is the primary season for NCSC soccer.  The club accepts registrations from players and places them on teams. [ Practices begin mid to late August ]

Fall Season: All-boy and all-girl teams are organized to play other teams within the Willamette Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) District. There is no record of the team wins or losses.  NCSC provides a uniform, which you will be required to return at the end of the fall season.  The Club does not provide shin guards.  Players are required to provide shin guards and soccer shoes. (no baseball cleats will be accepted) [usually 12 games; one per week]

Indoor Soccer: A Coach, who wishes to, can put a team together and signup with local soccer facilities for winter indoor games. Competition is often at a high level. This is not organized by NCSC and is done at the discretion of the coach.  Call Oregon Soccer Center (503) 655-PLAY or view the website at www.nwsoccercenters.com.

Spring Season: Coaches who wish to put teams together can play recreational Soccer through the Portland Youth Soccer League or Willamette Youth Soccer Association.  This is becoming a very popular season for players and although this activity is orchestrated by each coach, we attempt to place players on teams whenever possible.  A registration fee will be required.  Interested Coaches are required to present requests through the Board for sponsorship and use of uniforms.

Mini Soccer PDF Print E-mail

Mini Program

North Clackamas Sosccer Club offers a program for First and Second graders to allow them to experience the game of soccer while continuing to learn the skills necessary to play the game and have fun.

This program is called our MINI program.  We divide up the first and second graders to allow for more fair and equal level of play.

Our 1st grade program continues to focus on learning the important skills of the game such as dribbling, footwork and passing.

Our 2nd grade program continues to focus on the learning the important skills of the game but begins to implement some of the rules changes to make it more like "traditional" soccer.  This is done to help prepare the children that want to continue to play in the recreational program as 3rd graders.

The mini program focuses on the "Fun and Fundamentals" of the game.  Our goal is the provide all the children a safe and positive environment that provides them the opportunity to be successful at their current level of play and prepares them to be successful as they continue in the game of soccer.

Coaches will be contacting players in August for a team meeting with practices beginning after our annual Jamboree on August 28th.  Mini players will also participate in team introductions and organized games at our annual Jamboree.
