Recreational Soccer Program
3rd Grade - 8th Grade (also called U-9 thru U-14 below)
Teams are subject to change at any time. NCSC reserves the right to make those changes subject to rules and regulations of the USSF, OYSA, WYSA and other regulating bodies.
What you will see at North Clackamas Soccer Club is smaller team sizes for U-9,U-10 and U-11 teams, resulting in a lesser number of players. This will develop into more U-9,U-10 and U-11 teams, requiring more coaches and additional field usage, which will also require more referees. U-9,U-10 and U-11 coaches will see their team sizes modified and coaches and players will not be guaranteed the same Coaches and the same teammates as they had previously.
Players will NOT be guaranteed the same team they had in the previous season, specifically as additional coaches are added and team size (player numbers) are decreased. Placement on specific teams will be on a first come, first registration-basis.
Teams are based on size and other requirements. Coaches are recruited under those requirements. Regulations require filing of team assignments and coaches under specific calendar deadlines (WYSA and OYSA). There will be times when the requested coach is not going to coach that age group. There will be times the requested coach does not coach at all. There will be times that teams are filled to their capacity. All these conditions will determine what team your child is assigned to and subject to the specific age group. NCSC reserves the right to organize the teams subject to regulation and availability.
(3rd grade through 8th grade). This program is a continuation of emphasizing good sportsmanship and fun. Fall is the primary season for NCSC soccer. The club accepts registrations from players and places them on teams. (Practices begin mid to late August)
Fall Season: All-boy and all-girl teams are organized to play other teams within the Willamette Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) District. There is no record of the team wins or losses. NCSC provides a uniform, which you will be required to return at the end of the fall season. The Club does not provide shin guards. Players are required to provide shin guards and soccer shoes. (no baseball cleats will be accepted) [usually 12 games; one per week]
Indoor Soccer: A Coach, who wishes to, can put a team together and signup with local soccer facilities for winter indoor games. Competition is often at a high level. This is not organized by NCSC and is done at the discretion of the coach. Call Oregon Soccer Center (503) 655-PLAY or view the website at
www.nwsoccercenters.com.
Spring Season: Coaches who wish to put teams together can play recreational Soccer through the Portland Youth Soccer League or Willamette Youth Soccer Association. This is becoming a very popular season for players and although this activity is orchestrated by each coach, we attempt to place players on teams whenever possible. A registration fee will be required. Interested Coaches are required to present requests through the Board for sponsorship and use of uniforms.
